Alternative Theatre

Open up and Connect. We will play, we will be loud, we will explore. This class is about freeing the human instrument. We do this by, liberating the voice, creating a language of movement, and connecting through contact improvisation.

Teacher's Notes

Cristian ‘See’ Ellauri is a theatre making, poet, MC, street show artist of the highest order. Founder of Ong King Arts Center, his, all in rhyme, solo show ‘The Fool Truth’ toured festivals in the Summer of 09. See’s has written and directed 3 hip-hop theatre productions, combining rap, dance, music and myth. Each production evolved from personal, evocative theatre making workshops. These workshops include contact improvisation, breathe exercises, mirror, and mask. Each exercise is aimed at helping participants play, and open up their emotional self.
